Privacy policy
qoob is in early testing. This policy describes how the app works today and will be replaced by a fuller one before qoob is open to everyone. If something here is unclear, write to us at david@troller.pro.
qoob lets you make apps by chatting, and share them with your family and friends. This page says what information qoob keeps, why, who else sees it, and how to have it deleted.
What we keep
- Your account. When you sign in with Google or Apple we keep your name and email address, and an id from Google or Apple so we know it's you next time. We don't keep your password (we never see it) or your profile picture.
- What you make. Your chat messages with qoob, the apps it builds for you and their versions, and the names of the people you share an app with.
- What's in your apps. The things people add in apps (entries, lists, pictures, recordings, files) are kept on our servers so everyone the app is shared with sees them. Some apps keep their data only on your phone instead; then it isn't sent to us.
- Notifications. If you allow notifications, a token from Google's push service so we can send them to your phone.
- Credits. How many credits you have and what they were spent on.
- How qoob is used. We may collect information about how you use qoob and the apps made with it, such as which screens are opened, which features are used, how long things take, errors and crashes, and your phone's model and system version. We use it to find problems and to make qoob better, and we may use an analytics or crash-reporting service to collect it.
We don't use advertising trackers, we don't show ads, and we don't sell your information.
Your phone's features
Apps made with qoob can ask to use features of your phone, such as location, the camera, the microphone, photos, music, motion and step counts, or health data (Health Connect on Android). An app asks you first, and you can turn each one off for that app at any time. Readings stay on your phone until you use something in the app that saves or sends them, for example a button that records today's steps. What it saves is then kept like the rest of the app's data, so the people you share the app with can see it.
We don't use health data or any other data from your apps for advertising, and we don't send it to AI models.
AI models
qoob builds your apps with AI models run by other companies. When you chat with qoob, your messages, the app's design, and pictures of its screens (drawn with made-up sample data) are sent to them. We reach them through OpenRouter, and they currently include DeepSeek and OpenAI; pictures for app icons and sample data are drawn by Black Forest Labs, and sounds by fal. These companies process what we send to answer our request. Please don't put things in the chat that you wouldn't want shared this way, such as passwords or health details.
Other companies we rely on
- Amazon Web Services runs our servers and database, in the United States.
- Cloudflare stores the pictures, recordings and files in apps, and runs this website.
- Google and Apple handle signing in, and deliver notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging).
How long we keep it
- When you delete an app, its data and files are erased within 7 days.
- The history that lets you undo recent changes is kept for 1 day.
- Our backups are kept for 1 week, so deleted data leaves them within a week after that.
- Everything else is kept while your account exists.
Deleting your account
To delete your account, email david@troller.pro from the address you sign in with. We'll delete your account, your apps and their data within 30 days, and confirm when it's done. You can also ask us for a copy of your information, or to correct it, the same way.
Children
qoob isn't meant for children under 13 to use on their own, and we don't knowingly keep information from them. If you think a child has given us information, write to us and we'll delete it.
Changes
We'll update this page when qoob changes how it handles information, and tell you in the app about changes that matter.
